|Actually, the 3D printing via the FFF printing technique (Fused Filament Fabrication), raises powerfully in all the sectors, thanks to its capacity of production of complex geometric pieces, with different functions which fit the requirements required by the end user.
Therefore, the traditional sectors of the Child Product, Textile and Shoes, possess in the use of FFF 3D printing technologies, an opportunity to innovate in those products, obtaining new products and designs, with different characteristics and customising it accoording to the end user requirements and also to encourage its industrial growth.
Therefore, emerges the project AMFAB that search to innovate in the Valencian Community traditional sectors thanks to the new materials design and filaments for 3D printing that encourage both the design, functionalities and customization products for the end user.
This way, AMFAB pretends to firstly obtain a design tool that allows quickly designing and customising complex advanced textures for 3D pieces on the surface of the piece. Secondly, those sectors will obtain materials and filaments with adequate characteristics for Child Product, Textile and Shoes sectors.
In particular, they will obtain filaments with antimicrobial characteristics, leads, with colour change (light, temperature) for the Child Product sector, where demonstrator prototypes will be manufactured. Furthermore, they will develop filaments for obtainting “smart textiles” thanks to conductive materials or tissues with impact absorption capacity for Textile sector ; and finally, in the Shoes sector they will look for the obtention of new filaments that allow to obtain products with complex geometries or personalised to the user thanks to models with impacts absorption, dynamics elements insertion, etc.
AMFAB-II is a collaborative project between the technologic institutes of the Valencian Community, in which participates the Toys Technologic Institute (AIJU), the Textile Technologic Institute (AITEX) and the Shoes Technologic Institute (INESCOP), and which is founded by The Valencian Institute of Companies Competitiveness (IVACE) and the European Fund of Regional Development (FEDER) through the Operative Program FEDER of the Valencian Community 2014-2020.
